GreatDay Walks

The Cheshire Circuit (TCC) has been split into 8 day walks, each about 12 miles. For those who like “knee benders” and those who wish for more leisurely days may adjust the stops to suit their ambitions.
You will find a few alternatives for those who prefer a little bit more of quiet tarmac and for those who like a little more towpath.
I did not, for the moment, measure the exact distance on each map; but fast and dirty they are between 2.25 & 2.5 miles.
The gallery of photographs will give you a flavour of what to see on each map and perhaps assist in your planning at home in front of a large screen.
This is not a mountain walk; you find these on the Pennine Way or the Coast to Coast etc.! However, TCC has much variation, there is some up-and-down on the
Sandstone Trail.
The link will take you through quiet parts of Shropshire and Cheshire, seldom walked.
The Weaver Walk visits Audlem, Nantwich, Winsford and Northwich and passes a number of ‘brown sites’, giving a fascinating glimpse of times gone by when industry and the River Weaver were more commercial and active.
If you decide to print the maps (linked below), cut along the dotted line and fold vertically in half to fit nicely into a map pocket. If you want to be a really clever you can print both sides of the paper!!
